The role
01
[ What you'll do ]
Operators run the iron that moves our projects. You'll excavate, grade and backfill on commercial pads, roadways, parking lots and utility trenches, working from plans, GPS and grade stakes.
- Operate excavators, dozers, wheel loaders, skid steers and compactors
- Mass excavation, cut and fill, and fine grading to plan
- Trench and backfill for water, sanitary and storm installs
- Perform daily walk-around inspections and basic maintenance
- Work with the foreman to keep the crew safe and on schedule
[ What we're looking for ]
- Two or more years running heavy equipment on excavation or site-work projects
- Able to read grade stakes and site plans; GPS machine-control experience a plus
- Valid driver's license; CDL a plus
- Comfortable working outdoors in all seasons and occasional overtime
