The role

[ What you'll do ]
Estimators turn plans into numbers. You'll review civil drawings and specs, perform earthwork and utility takeoffs, get quotes from suppliers and subs, and assemble bids that win work while protecting margins.
- Review plans, specs and geotechnical reports for bid opportunities
- Perform earthwork, utility, paving and erosion-control takeoffs
- Solicit and level supplier and subcontractor quotes
- Build bid proposals and attend pre-bid meetings and site visits
- Hand off awarded projects to the field with a clear scope and budget
[ What we're looking for ]
- Two or more years estimating site work, excavation or underground utilities
- Comfortable with takeoff software such as AGTEK, Trimble Business Center or Bluebeam
- Strong grasp of earthwork quantities, grading plans and utility specs
- Organized, detail oriented and able to manage several bids at once
